Q: Are you the manufacturer of Air-Tite capsules?

A: 
No, we are not the manufacturer of any of the products for sale on our site.  We are re-sellers and get our products from many different coin supply vendors and manufacturers.  To learn more about our company please visit our About Us page.

Q: How do I know which Air-Tite size or type I need for my coin?

A: 
This is the most common question we get.  If your coin measures 30mm you will need a 30mm holder, 38mm coins require 38mm holders, etc.  In most cases you'll have two options for modern US coins: direct fit or ring type (see next question for more info).  Some older or more obscure US coins, and most foreign coins will only fit in a ring type capsule.  If you're unsure about the diameter of your coin you can visit our Coin Size Chart for more information.


Q: What's the difference between the "Direct Fit" and the "Ring Type" Air-Tite capsules?

A: 
Actually there is very little difference between the two types, both offer the same high level of protection for your coin.  The main difference is the foam ring used in the ring type holder.  The ring is made of volara and is totally inert and free of PVC.  The foam ring is decorative and offers little additional protection for your coin.  The ring simply surrounds the rim of the coin and creates a "framing" effect around the coin.  The foam ring is completely safe for extreme long term storage of your coins, and will not break down or discolor your coins over time.  Both sides of the coin remain totally visible in both types of capsules.


Q: How do I convert inches into millimeters?

A: 
Multiply inches x 25.4 (Example: A Morgan dollar measures exactly 1.5" in diameter.  1.5 x 25.4 = 38.1 millimeters.)  To convert from millimeters to inches divide by 25.4.


Q: Do you sell the red retail Air-Tite packs that are found in coin shops?

A:
 We do not stock the RED retail packs but we can special order them for you. We have found that most of our customers are looking for the best value for their money and do not want to spend more for special packaging than they're spending for the actual product they need. If you're a dealer with a shop then obviously you may need retail packs, so we also now offer a our own retail package for Air-Tites which will be added very soon.


Q: I need Air-Tites for my coins, but I'm not sure which size I need.  Can you help?

A: 
Of course we can help!  First try our Coin Sizes page which lists U.S. coinage size information along with sizes of many foreign coins.  If you can't find your coin listed in our charts we recommend that you try a search on a major search engine, such as Google or Bing.


Q: I need the exact measurements of one of your Air-Tite capsules, where can I find this information?

Q: Can I open an Air-Tite capsule if I decide to remove my coin?

A: 
Yes, and it's fairly easy to do. Simply use a sharp kitchen knife and carefully insert the edge into the seam that separates the two halves and gently pry apart. Air-Tites can be re-opened numerous time, but keep in mind that after a few openings the seal will not be as tight when reclosed and the capsule may show some damage.


Q: I've seen Air-Tites sold on other sites for more than double the price you're charging, are you selling the real Air-Tites made in the USA, or are your capsules imported from China?

A: 
We only sell authentic Air-Tite brand capsules that are manufactured in the United States. Our prices are lower than average (and far below retail) because we buy in large bulk quantities, securely package and pack them ourselves and pass the savings on to our customers. We don't like paying more for the red retail packaging because the package costs more than the capsule! Most of our customers agree, and they realize that our method allows them to buy many more capsules per dollar than our competitors.


Q: How much will I pay for shipping?

A: 
Our shipping rates are very fair and reasonable. Many of our competitors claim to offer "discount prices" but make up for it by overcharging for shipping. Or you will find that shipping is reduced and built in to the cost of the product. Shipping rates may be recently rising but rest assured that you pay what we pay. We think you'll find our shipping rates are more than reasonable.


Q: Do you offer wholesale or discounted pricing to individuals without a business license?

A:
 Yes!  Our wholesale pricing can be found site wide. No need for a login or special wholesale account. If you are interested in large quantities of any products not listed at wholesale please contact us and we'll be happy give you a quote. 


Q: I would be interested in selling some of your products, could you drop ship to my customers?

A:
 Sorry, we only offer periodic drop shipping under certain circumstances. Give us a call and we'll see if there is anything we can do for you.


Q: After I place my order, how long can I expect to wait for my package to arrive?

A: 
This is where we really separate ourselves from our competition!  Almost 90% of the orders placed with us before noon central will ship the same day!  Orders placed after noon will ship the same or next business day.  It is not uncommon for our customers to receive their order within 3 days, and all orders should arrive at your door within one week.  Of course, if you live outside of the lower 48 United States, or if you place a special order, delivery will likely take a little longer.


Q: I do not like to use my credit card online, do you accept other payment methods?

A: 
Our shopping cart uses the latest encryption technology available to protect your private information, but we understand your concern.  That's why we include "Money Order" and PayPal as a payment options within our shopping cart.  We also welcome phone orders through our toll free number 1-888-264-6701 which will allow you to place your order with your credit card and receive your supplies much quicker than sending a money order.


Q: Do you ship orders outside of the United States?

A:

Q: Do you have a retail store that I can visit if I'm in your area?

A: 
While we are primarily an internet based business, we do allow walk ins to our office/warehouse. It helps if you call ahead of time to let us know you will be stopping in. We are located at 2 Industrial Dr, Monroe City, MO 63456


Q: Do you list your Privacy Policy or Returns Policy on your site?

A: 
Yes we do!  In fact, you should never trust a website that doesn't offer this information.  Click these links to read our Privacy Policy and our Return Policy.  You will also find lots of additional information about us on our Company Info page.


Q: I am concerned about spam any time I order online. Will your company sell or give my email address or phone number to anyone if I order from your site?

A: 
Absolutely not!  As stated in our privacy policy, your email address or any other personal information will never be sold or given to any one else for any reason.  You may receive email notifications from us 4 or 5 times per year letting you know about new products or sale items, but that's it.  Plus, you have the option to "opt out" of our promotional emails at any time.
